Dan Skelton saddled fromthehorsesmouth.info selection (4-1) Protektorat to victory ridden by Bridget Andrews in the Unibet Many Clouds Chase over 3 miles 1 furlongs at Aintree – by a whopping 25 lengths on Saturday!

“He’s got an unbelievable amount of talent – we’ve always known it – but he has been keen in the past and we were just trying to use it right.

“That was my only concern today,” said Andrews, after a landslide win ahead of Native River, with Sam Brown.

“He’s a big strong horse – I’m not very big. We went a sensible gallop, but he’s got a high cruising speed and all he does is keep going.

“He was doing a half-speed and I couldn’t go any slower. In the end I just let him go to the front,” added Andrews.

Protektorat could feature in the Cheltenham Gold Cup: “There’s a possibility he’ll be on that way,” said Andrews.
