Lingfield Park stages the Group 3 Betway Winter Derby Stakes over 1m 2f on Saturday, that sees Group 1 winner John and Thady Gosden trained Lord North and Royal Ascot G1 Alenquer go to post.
Six-year-old Lord North tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info returns after a lengthy spell on the sidelines following injury, after winning the Dubai Turf at Meydan in March 2021.
Alenquer, second in last year’s Juddmonte International, returns having finished ninth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe last term.
Rob Havlin takes the ride on Lord North, with Frankie Dettori on duty on the Saudi Cup meeting at Riyadh. William Haggas-trained Alenquer has Cieren Fallon in the saddle, stepping in for Tom Marquand, riding in Saudi Arabia.
Gary Moore trained Vorashann (1.00) with Jason Watson up is tipped to land the C5 Betway Handicap over 5 furlongs, having won a C3 and raced in Class 1 company.
J.J. Quinn saddles Lord Riddiford, with Jason Hart up, tipped to win the Betway Hever Sprint Stakes over 5f, noted when third at Wolverhampton this month.
Imperial Sands (2.40) trained by Archie Watson and ridden by Hollie Doyle is tipped to win the C2 MansionBet Handicap over 1m.
If You Dare (3.10) trained by Mark Johnston and ridden by Joe Fanning is tipped to land the C2 Betway Handicap over 6 furlongs, noted when winning a C3 at Southwell last month.
Crush And Run (3.45) trained by Richard Hughes and ridden by Sean Kelly is tipped to win the C5 Betway Maiden Stakes over 5f, noted when second at Chelmsford in January.
Charlie Appleby trained King Of Time (4.20) is tipped to land the C5 Coral Novices Stakes over 1m on debut run, sire of Kingsman, with Robert Winston up.
Sea Of Charm (4.55) ridden by George Rooke (3) is tipped to win the C5 Betway Handicap over 1m 2f, the Harry Dunlop trained four-year-old noted when second of 11 at Lingfield last month; having been in Class 1 company in December over 1m 2f.
