Trainer James Moffatt hit the ground running on the opening day of the 2022 NH season, when saddling a treble at local track Cartmel on May 28.

“It was a great day at the first Cartmel meeting of the season –  with a brilliant treble – Zumbi’s classy win in the first race, Rapid Flight’s brilliant jumping and Dressedforsuccess, who cannot be denied here, who showed a game attitude in the feature chase and capped a memorable day.

“My team excelled again,” said delighted Moffatt, based at Pit Farm Racing Stables, Haggs Lane, Cartmel.

Moffatt, Cartmel’s leading trainer in recent years, saddled Zumbi, under Charlotte Jones, to win the Sticky Toffee Pudding Novices Hurdle.

Rapid Flight landed the Molson Coors Handicap chase, ridden by Jones, with Dressedforsuccess – tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info – winning the Banks Lyon Handicap Chase, to complete a memorable treble for Moffatt and jockey Jones.
