Native Trail tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info landed the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes for Godolphin and trainer Charlie Appleby at Newmarket on Saturday.

“He’s a big horse – and he could be absolutely anything,” said winning jockey William Buick.

“He’s a gorgeous horse – with so much ability. It was a messy race and tactically it was hard to get a handle on it – but when I asked him to go on the straight he hit the rising ground really well,” added Buick.

Charlie Appleby trained two year old colt Native Trail (5-6) extended his unbeaten record to four, when beating Dubawi Legend; Bayside Boy finished third.

“Native Trail was the standout in the paddock – it’s full credit to the team at home. We’ve got some exciting horses on our hands,” said Appleby.

Odds-on 5-6 favourite Native Trail recorded Appleby’s 13th Group or Grade 1 success of the season.

Charlie Appleby trained Coroebus (4-5) tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info under Buick, landed the Emirates Group 3 Autumn Stakes, ahead of Imperial Fighter (7-1), with Dubai Poet (13-2) third.

Two-year-old Coroebus was held up in the rear making steady progress in the 1 mile race, to lead being eased to win comfortably.
