Doncaster’s Group 1 Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday sees Ballydoyle based trainer Aidan O’Brien having a tilt to equal the late Sir Henry Cecil’s record of 10 successes in saddling Luxembourg (3.15) tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info.
Luxembourg (5-6) who won the Beresford Stakes last time out, goes to post as favourite in the eight runners’ field.
Ryan Moore rides Luxembourg, an unbeaten son of Camelot, heads the betting of the 2022 Cazoo Derby.
Mark Johnston trained Royal Patronage (4-1) ridden by Jason Hart, who defeated Coroebus in the Royal Lodge and Bayside Boy (11-2), with David Egan up, winner in the Champagne Stakes at the St Leger meeting, third in the Dewhurst, are noted runners.
